ABOUT
I’m Olivia, a Production and Costume Designer, academic researcher and visual artist.
Based in the North West of England, I have 10+ years’ experience in practice-based and academic research within the arts.
I have worked extensively in music video and short film, including numerous BFI and Arts Council England backed shorts. My production and costume design work has been screened at numerous BAFTA and BIFA accredited film festivals including Clermont-Ferrand, Aesthetica, Bolton and Norwich.
Originally from a Fine Art background, my knowledge of both the history and theory of art heavily inform my approach to visual language within film. I also have specialist skills in print and animation.
I am also a PhD candidate at Manchester School of Art and has previously been published in the Journal for Artistic Research. My research topic centres on the cathartic and poetic use of drawing and writing to navigate anxiety disorder and feminine identity via aspects of play, the semi-conscious and the monstrous.
